Benefits of Joining

Our desire is to create a community of creatives and small business owners who can work together to help one another grow and learn. Everything is still in the starting stages so there currently isn’t anything to join but in the very near future we are hoping to actually have a monthly online webinar and online training courses to assist you in growing your online presence with creative strategies.

Training

Making Room is launching from the heart of the creative community and business sector. We want to bring our ever-expanding collective knowledge base to the public, extend connections to experts, and provide guidance that many have yet to gain from college or general work experiences. We’re striving for a system of support made of people, not just online shopping, social reach, or pop-up classes and events. Making Room aims to generate long lasting results by treating every individual as an important resource, because honestly... you are!

Mentorship

“You don’t know what you don’t know” until you talk about it. Many creatives have gained invaluable experience from their work journey, personal history, and multiple years in the field, and choosing to share that wealth of experience is so important. Those who are just starting out have something to teach as well, so Making Room wants to encourage direct mentorship within all sectors so that the younger, older, rookie, veteran, big idea people as well as sustainability pros can come together and fill their gaps as a team.

Community

One of our biggest goals is to “take the work out of network”. Creators have a fantastic knack for developing exponential growth when working together. Have you ever been to a musical jam session? There’s nothing quite like it! That’s what we are trying to create across multiple creative fields. We’re all familiar with collaboration at some level; we might usually work in teams or with project partners, and a few of us even feel repelled by the idea due to conflict or failure in the past. Making Room leaders aim to delve into the psychology of working for yourself: issues with isolation, keeping or quitting your day job, self-imposed limitations, price point decisions, and how to value yourself beyond your work, all these things and far more have been and always will be part of the journey. Are you ready to grow?
